Weekend Links
Here are some of the posts I really enjoyed reading over the last week:
JCP’s New Pricing: Is It Really Fair and Square – I don’t shop at JC Penny a ton, but I did feel a little leery of their new “improved” pricing when it was advertised. This post helps explain the changes well, plus the comments added even more clarity.
12 Most Compelling Reasons to Homeschool Your Children – Written by a public school teacher, surprisingly.
4 Easy Things You Can Do To Take Care of You – One reason I love this article is because none of these things happen at the expense of the rest of the family. While I fully believe mommies need to take good care of themselves, I have (sadly) known too many women who have taken that to the extreme and decided that “taking care of themselves” meant indulging in behavior that damaged their children, marriages, and other relationships. This article brings a much healthier perspective and approach.
Building Strong Sibling Relationships – Written by a mom of 10 with her eleventh baby on the way, Kimberly shares how sibling squabbles don’t have to be something we just endure because “kids will be kids.” Very encouraging, with some great practical advice for refereeing sibling arguments.
Showing Appreciation to Your Children – We know we need to tell our kids we love them and congratulate them on a job well done, but when was the last time you gave your child a deep, heartfelt thank you? This post has some really fun ways for thanking your children and letting them know how important they are.
Have a great weekend!
