Weekend Links

Here are some of the things I have enjoyed reading recently:

  • The Messy Table :: Simple Mom – This post reverberated deeply with me, because it is exactly how I would describe our kitchen table! We inherited it from my inlaws when we got married. It’s not a fancy table by any stretch of the imagination, but every stain and scratch has a memory and a story to tell.

  • When You Don’t Feel Beautiful :: (in)courage – This post is such an important reminder for all women – especially those of us who are raising the next generation of young women – what the true definition of beauty is.

  • Ten Things I Want To Tell Teenage Girls :: Lily Pads – Loving and to the point. Things I think probably every girl needs to hear.

  • truth about fear :: The View From Here – Written by one of my real life friends, who is a missionary with her husband in Africa. She writes openly and honestly about how fear can dominate our thoughts, as well as a call to not allow ourselves to be ruled by those fears.

What have you been reading this week?
